Hujatullah Mujadidi, president of the Afghan Independent Journalists Association, met with Mr. Gunnar WIEGAND, Managing Director of Asia-Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Union of Directors, while discussing the situation of freedom of expression and the media, emphasized the EU’s financial support for the media and called for their serious attention.

In return, Mr. Wigand called support for the media and journalists a necessity for Afghan society and promised that they would take action after studying the plan on what steps they could take.
