The Afghan Independent Journalists Association, which was established in 2002 with the aim of defending and supporting the rights of journalists and freedom of expression in the country, after the persistent efforts and round-the-clock efforts of a group of professional journalists committed to the values ​​of freedom of expression and free media activities In this year, he was promoted to the Afghan Independent Journalists Union and became the Full membership of the international Federation of Journalists, IFJ

The Afghan Independent Journalists Union has had good relations with the Wor Federation of Journalists in the past as an Associate Member, and now it will continue its activities as a Full Membership with the World Federation of Journalists.

The international Federation of Journalists IFJ is represented in 140 countries and has more than 600,000 members worldwide.

Acquiring the Full membership of the international Federation of Journalists by the Afghan Independent Journalists Union will be the connection point of the journalists and the media community of Afghanistan with journalists and international organizations that defend the rights of journalists and freedom of expression in the world.
