Coordination Meeting Held Between the Ministry of Interior’s Media Officials and Media Representatives


A coordination meeting was held between media officials of the Ministry of Interior and representatives of media outlets and journalist organizations.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mawlawi Naeemulhaq Haqqani Herati, Head of the Government Media Center, welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude for the continued cooperation between government institutions and the media. He stated that the center consistently works to enhance coordination and collaboration between government bodies and media outlets, especially in the area of access to information.

Media representatives appreciated the initiative and raised concerns regarding challenges in accessing information and the need for improved coordination.

Following this, Mawlawi Rahmatullah Kakazada, Director General of Public Relations and Press at the Ministry of Interior, Khalid Zadran, spokesperson for the Kabul Police Command, and Mufti Abdul Mateen Qane, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, praised the efforts of the Government Media Center and emphasized the importance of continuing such meetings and strengthening cooperation between state institutions and the media.

They also assured participants of their commitment to supporting journalists and improving access to information.

Hujatullah Mujadidi, President of the Afghan Independent Journalists Union, stated that the Ministry’s attention to the issue of access to information for provincial journalists is a positive step. However, he noted that journalists in some provinces still face challenges such as delays in receiving timely responses, which require more attention.

In conclusion, the participants stressed the need for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of media and public information.
